Hey guys im thinking about teaching a small DIY workshop in either one or two parts. Materials fee would be $25 besides that the class will be free. I would teach you how to sew your own basic tshirt silkscreen it & make two sizes of badges. Let me know any one interested and i will start figuring out dates. Location would be downtown LA @ my studio. 🙂 xo
Today we went to the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien! It was really fun. Just a bit of a wait to get in about an hour which is not actually so bad. Then they run that place like clockwork once you are inside and seated filming begins exactly as you see it on TV. I doubt they do much editing everything is done in one take. And in case you ever wondered what was in Conan’s coffee mug well its Diet Coke :).
If you are planning to come to LA or even just live here and have never gone go to the tonight show its a good time and tickets are free.
The new set is much nicer than the last one in person (sorry Jay my friend played your show and back stage was jenky and the set was dated)..
Anyway go here to sign up for tickets.

Before the Show Drinks and chips and Natalia had a gross looking all canned bean salad it said green salad (it lied)
Writer-director John Hughes, Hollywood’s youth impresario of the 1980s and ’90s who captured and cornered the teen and preteen market with such favorites as “Home Alone,” “The Breakfast Club” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” died Thursday, a spokeswoman said. He was 59.
Hughes died of a heart attack during a morning walk in Manhattan, Michelle Bega said. He was in New York to visit family.
A native of Lansing, Mich., who later moved to suburban Chicago and set much of his work there, Hughes rose from ad writer to comedy writer to silver screen champ with his affectionate and idealized portraits of teens, whether the romantic and sexual insecurity of “Sixteen Candles,” or the J.D. Salinger-esque rebellion against conformity in “The Breakfast Club.”
Hughes’ ensemble comedies helped make stars out of Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy and many other young performers. He also scripted the phenomenally popular “Home Alone,” which made little-known Macaulay Culkin a sensation as the 8-year-old accidentally abandoned by his vacationing family, and wrote or directed such hits as “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” “Pretty in Pink,” “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” and “Uncle Buck.”
Other actors who got early breaks from Hughes included John Cusack (“Sixteen Candles”), Judd Nelson (“The Breakfast Club”), Steve Carell (“Curly Sue”) and Lili Taylor (“She’s Having a Baby”).
As Hughes advanced into middle age, his commercial touch faded and, in Salinger style, he increasingly withdrew from public life. His last directing credit was in 1991, for “Curly Sue,” and he wrote just a handful of scripts over the past decade. He was rarely interviewed or photographed.
Associated Press writer Amy Westfeldt contributed to this report.

Train riding in L.A.
Clothing designer Jessica Louise, above, told Brand X’s Laila Derakhshanian about her Los Angeles, as seen from the L.A.Metro. Louise says:
For a brief time, you feel like you live in a real city riding the L.A. Metro. It’s a mini version of society, and it’s nice to see so many people taking public transportation. From my station at Hollywood and Highland to downtown takes about 12 minutes. I can ride my bike or take the DASH [bus] from my apartment to the train, then walk four blocks to my office in less time than it would take me to drive. And on the way to work, I always stop for coffee or the farmers market. I feel like I’m less stressed and having a better day.
Tell us about your L.A. — and you might be featured here and in the Brand X paper, available in print in boxes all over the city. Just e-mail us at [email protected].

Please join us for an advance screening of Dear Lemon Lima, by director Suzi Yoonessi. The night will include a Q&A with the director and cast, cupcakes by Big Sugar Bakeshop, ice cream, a photobooth, afterparty and cocktails by Belvedere Macerated.
Dear Lemon Lima,
Dear Lemon Lima, is a family comedy feature film written and directed by Suzi Yoonessi. Based on her short film of the same name and developed with the support of Film Independent and its Filmmaker Labs, this film is about a 13-year-old half-Yup’ik girl navigating her way through first heartbreak and the perils of prep school in Fairbanks, Alaska. In learning the meanings of love, friendship, and community, Vanessa Lemor finds her voice by embracing her heritage and reclaiming the spirit of the World Eskimo Indian Olympics (WEIO) at a private school where her narcissistic sweetheart’s family is legacy.
