Opening October 23, Three Apples An Exhibition celebrating 35 years of Hello Kitty will turn Royal/T into a oasis of all things super cute. Three Apples will feature art, design displays, a one-of-a-kind shop, unique products, a Hello Kitty apartment, and events for fans of all ages. The show is open to the public and free of charge.
The Three Apples art show, curated by Jamie Rivadeneira of JapanLA, features original work by more than eighty artists including: Gary Baseman, Ron English, Buff Monster, Camilla d’Errico, Luke Chueh, Deph, Amanda Visell, Frank Kozik, Natalia Fabia, Huck Gee, Simone Legno, Tara McPherson, and Yosuke Ueno. A portion of the profits will be donated to LA Works, a non-profit company that creates community service projects.
November 14th there will be a fashion show couture inspired by Hello Kitty. My outfit will feature my favorite pink miss modeling Audrey Kitching.

Fan Appreciation Night – Saturday Oct. 24th – Call for hours
Hello Kitty fans will have the rare opportunity to get items signed by Hello Kitty’s lead designer from Tokyo, while they sample food from the café, listen to tunes from a live DJ and even get their photo snapped in a Hello Kitty photo booth.
Halloween with Hello Kitty – Saturday, Oct. 31st – Call for hours
Spend the spookiest day of the year with Hello Kitty. Day events include a costume party for kids and trick-or-treating at Royal/T with Hello Kitty Halloween treat bags for special treats. And then at night young adults are invited for a special party, complete with a guest DJ and Japanese “Kawaii!” themed costumes, Japanese street fashion and traditional Japanese dress as well as various expressions of Hello Kitty and her friends.
Hello Kitty Birthday Party – Sunday, Nov. 1st – 10am-6pm
Come out to celebrate Hello Kitty’s birthday! Party guests can purchase Hello Kitty shaped pancakes and waffles for brunch and themed bento boxes later in the day. The first 200 guests to arrive will get party favor goody bags.
Meet the Artists Party – Saturday, Nov. 7th – Call for hours
Art comes to life as guests can mingle with the artists participating in the show, see live painting by select artists and an art signing.
Goth Party – Friday, Nov. 13th – 8pm – midnight
On Friday the 13th Hello Kitty goes Goth with a special party for young adults.
Hello Kitty Fashion and Art Event – Saturday, Nov. 14th – Call for hours
Japanese street fashions will take to the runway celebrating the best of Hello Kitty apparel.
In honor of Hello Kitty’s 35 anniversary, Sanrio brings this multi-dimensional exhibition celebrating all things Hello Kitty. This is the first time that Sanrio has produced an event for the Hello Kitty fans in North America. The event will kick-off with a VIP gala on October 22 followed by a three week residency at Royal/T. Royal/T artspace/cafe/shop is located at 8910 Washington Boulevard in Culver City from 10am -10pm daily.
